Is Online Poker About to Make a Comeback?

Online poker lost a lot of traction when the US decided to ban online poker, casinos and betting online. This meant that the vast majority of online poker sites went bust or disappeared overnight.

Some of the lucky ones were bought by big names such as PokerStars.

Thing are about to change!

We estimate that online poker is about to make a huge comeback in the next 12 Months and here’s why.

1: Online poker regulation in the US is now possible. State by State the US are licensing online casinos and poker sites. This inevitably means players will play again after a long wait.

2: This is the big deal here and something that will make online poker boom again. PokerStars have launched in India, but as yet have not pushed this too much.

Over the next few Months however, expect stars to start sponosring teams, events and running TV campaigns.

To put this in perspective, the population of the USA which is the biggest market for online poker is around 330 million. The population of India is over 1.3 Billion!!

We will keep you updated on this but for now just imagine. The whole of USA being able to play online poker legally again at the same time an even bigger country with 4 x the population take up online poker. This is a perfect storm and will be something to get excited about!
